Essential Oils

Day 4 - Finding emotional balance

Day 4 - Finding emotional balance

Did you know that when you inhale essential oils (or any aroma for that matter), the aroma immediately goes to the part of your brain that deals with emotions and mood? That’s why aromatherapy is one of the most powerful and delightful ways we can use our oils. I love that no matter what I’m feeling at any given moment, I know there’s an oil out there that can help. Whether you’re feeling bored, uninspired, angry, sad, or even just in a “funk”, essential oils can come to the rescue.

10 Petitgrain Essential Oil Uses

Petitgrain is one of our newest essential oils and I'm so excited about it! Petitgrain comes from the leaves of the bitter orange tree (orange oil comes from the rind of the fruit and neroli comes from the blossom). dōTERRA's Petitgrain is sourced from Paraguay. Through their Cō-Impact Sourcing initiative, they are able to bring life back into the Petitgrain industry in this region, that prior was dying.

10 Fall Diffuser Recipes

It's the first day of fall and I couldn't be more excited! It's that time of year for bonfires, family and friends, good food, and warm, spicy aromas. Fall is one of my favorite times to diffuse essential oils in my home. Not only does it make your house smell wonderful, but it also helps to purify the air and help to get rid of any kind of germ or bug going around! It's a fantastic way to keep your family healthy!

Here are 10 of my favorite diffuser blends for Fall. I hope these blends fill your home with warmth and love this Fall! Enjoy!

10 Spikenard Essential Oil Uses

10 Spikenard Essential Oil Uses

I am absolutely loving my new Spikenard essential oil. It will be available for purchase on October 3rd, but I got it early because I attended doTERRA's annual convention this month.

Spikenard gets its name from the spikes of the plant that the oil is distilled from. Highly prized in the middle East during the time of Christ, it’s referred to several times in the Bible. According to the Gospels, Mary Magdalene anointed Christ using Spikenard and it's fragrance is said to have filled the house.
